The dual spiral porting pattern on the All American front was an instant classic when it was released in 1989, and has been used by world championship winning professional teams ever since. With a mirror-smooth precision ground interior and spiral porting, the All American Freak Front equalizes air pressure behind the ball while dispersing ambient air in front of the ball to minimize drag and minimize turbulence. The surface area of the porting holes is equal to the surface air in the cylinder opening, allowing the paintball to accelerate with minimal deformation to the front surface. The spiral porting imparts a slight spin on the ball to stabilize it in flight.
